Meet Alex

Welcome!

Alex Picot-Annand is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist and a Certified Life Coach. That means she can help you heal with food, set goals, and reach them.

Alex has always been fascinated by what’s going on inside. Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Dalhousie University, she began her professional education from the inside out. After taking some time off to travel in Ecuador, Alex decided to go back to school for nutrition at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (Toronto) where she graduated with the highest marks in her class . She received her Life Coaching certification from the Certified Coaches Federation, which gave her extra tools to help people find their own answers, and help them reach their goals.

Alex believes that physical symptoms are the language of the body, and that we must interpret them as messages. The body’s natural desire is to heal, and Alex can help you remove the obstacles that hinder health, and provide you with the direction to help you build wellness (in body, mind, and spirit).

With her clients, Alex prefers to work with simple things first: The food you eat, the way you move, and the things you think. However, if deeper deficiencies or imbalances are suspected, she may suggest natural supplements to facilitate the healing process.

In her free time, you can find Alex in the kitchen, experimenting obsessively using wholesome ingredients, practicing yoga, writing, cycling around Toronto, drawing, and spending time with her loved ones.

Alex would be delighted to meet you and help you reveal your best.

    Hey Alex,

I found your blog through your comment on OhSheGlows today and I have to say, it really spoke to me! I can totally relate. Thanks for sharing your story :O). I think your situation is somewhat common and it is always good to be reminded that sometimes more is not best. Take care!

Oh my goodness, what a compliment! It’s comments like yours that make this blog so gratifying (although I would probably do it anyway for the excuse to research, vent, and um, air my jokes out, haha).

Please continue to come back and let me know if you ever have any ideas about issues that you’d like to see covered on this blog.

      Take care,
      Alex

  5. Hi Alex,

I just perused your site for the past hour, I suppose. Very interesting read. You’re right – our blogs/thoughts are similar in some ways. We’re even using the same a yoga picture! I liked your yoga posts and the interview with your mother. Cool stuff. I added Open-Ended Question to Nutritive Consciousness. Can I find you anywhere else on the Internet? Is there an alt way of emailing you?

    Cheers,
    Denise

Hi Alex, Nice to see that you are following in your mom’s footsteps. You have had a wonderful role model.

I am trying to find a web site for your mom, whom I used to see when she had her practice in Ottawa. I am wondering if she still does nutritional consultations and if you can provide me with her contact info.

    Thanks very much.

  7. Love your blog!

I just started Holistic Nutrition at IHN this past September :)
