What is a Holistic Nutritionist?
The word “holistic” implies a recognition that individual parts are connected to a whole. Therefore, the holistic nutritionist conducts a nutritional assessment of an individual and their symptoms, while considering this individual’s overall state of health, lifestyle habits, stage of life, and environment.
Holistic nutritionists believe that health is defined not only by the absence of disease, but rather by the presence of vibrant health and energy. We are professionally trained to seek the root cause of a given symptom, rather than masking or suppressing it. For example, erratic blood sugar swings can lead to chronic headaches. A holistic nutritionist will work with the client to solve the blood sugar issues (the root cause) rather than recommend a pain medication.
A holistic nutritionist emphasizes the individual’s power and responsibility in shaping their own health. We work with the client, guiding them with specific diet, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations to build wellness.
Holistic nutrition heals from the inside out and believes that you truly are what you eat.
